- 1. Effective species
Streptococcus, staphylococcus aureus, clostridium difficels, diphtheroid bacteria
2. Indications
1) Superficial secondary infections such as endocarditis, osteomyelitis, arthritis, peritonitis, meningitis, burns and surgical wounds
2) Pneumonia, sepsis, lung abscess, empyema
3) Severe infections not treated with penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics
4) Antibiotic-related gastroenterative colitis caused by small intestinal colitis and Clostridium dipicel (treated by oral administration)
(Capsule)
○ Adult: As a vancomycin, divide 500mg (titer) daily and administer orally for 7-10 days.
(Injective)
1. Adult: As vancomycin, 500 mg (titer) once every 6 hours or 1 g (titer) once every 12 hours.
